Have you checked your garbage lately?

Today is garbage day. So while we were busily gathering the garbage this morning and getting it out to the curb it reminded me of some incidents that have become all too common in our home lately.

Anybody seen the TV remote?Oh, found it!


How 'bout my wallet (which includes my keys AND cellphone)?Thanks Robyn for putting it in such a great hiding place! (My wallet would be that pretty black thing with the flowers on it--at least the keys are still attached)

Needless to say, check your trashcan before giving up your valuables to the garbage man. Never know what prizes your little munchkin has decided to drop in there...

to 'devolve'

...to devour large quantities of food and cause that which is consumed to dissolve AND evolve entirely. Usually associated with a good meal.

This particular word came from Hunter the other day after he devoured several helpings of an apparently yummy meal. "Mommy I made all my food devolve!" We suspect it's a combination of all the highlighted words above. It's been a favorite word to use ever since!

Don't we love the wonderful words that our children come up with! If only us parents kept a dictionary of all the ones they create!
